Eric Johnson Harper

November 27, 1971 - April 21, 2026

Eric Johnson Harper of Winnipeg, Manitoba  passed away on Tuesday, April 21, 2026 in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 54 years.

Eric was born in Norway House, MB to the late, Janet Kipling (Harper) and Edward Kipling on November 27, 1971. He was raised by his Grandparents, the late Abraham and Martha Harper of the St. Theresa Point, Mb First Nation.

From a young boy, Eric enjoyed going hunting with his Grandfather to the family's trap-line. Eric has many family and friends that reside up north in St. Theresa Point, Mb. At the age of 20, Eric had left the reserve, moved to Winnipeg to raise his first two children, soon after two more had followed. Eric got his high school certificate from the Winnipeg Adult Education Centre in 2007and later on, went into the B.U.I.L.D program to take a trades course in Carpentry in 2008-2011. 

Eric is survived by his wife Myrna Harper (Mitchell); their 4 children; the late Trevor Abraham Francis Harper; his surviving children Candace Nicole Harper, Brittany Amber Harper and Erica Alicia Harper (Mackenzie McNabb); his two grandchildren Trevor Harper and Elijah McNabb whom all resides in Winnipeg.

Eric Harper will be deeply missed by his family.
