Larry Vandal

May 8, 1960-April 2, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Larry Vandal on Thursday, April 2, 2026.

The outdoors is where Larry preferred to spend his time. Many days were spent fishing and camping with friends and family. In his early adult life, Larry was a Specialized Concrete Core Cutter for National Cutting and Coring Construction. This gave him the opportunity to work in Northern Manitoba and Ontario (Thunder Bay) for various Jobs. This is where his love of the outdoors was re-enforced. He would often tell stories of wolves and various animals that were surrounding him and the crew while they worked.

We will cherish fond memories of camping trips in Whiteshell, Manitoba, while we sang along to Tom Cocrhrane’s “Life is a Highway” on the drive out. Larry was always ready to “cast a line” in the lake the moment we arrived. We will hold dear to our hearts the many memories of bike rides and learning how to fish out of the back of his pickup truck, along with many laughs, jokes and repeat episodes of The Simpsons and Seinfeld and his ability to “pause” live T.V before the technology was available. Larry spent the last 20 years of his life working as a fork-lift driver at St. Boniface Pallet where he worked alongside his brother Jerry and nephew Jason.

Larry was predeceased by his mother Pauline; father Norris; sister Debbie; brothers Jerry, Patrick and stepbrother Donald; great nieces Stacey and twin great-nieces Jaime and Taylor and numerous aunts and uncles.

Larry leaves behind his daughter Jessica Kutcher (Daniel) and his two grandson’s Alexander and Lucas Kutcher. He also leaves behind his sisters Carol (Craig), Patricia (Aime), Wendy (Marion); brothers Eugene (Donna); stepbrother Alan (Val); brother in-law Gary and sister in-law Gisele; nieces Tiffany (Luke), Samantha (TJay), Kayla (Cody) and Stephanie; nephews, AJ, Jason (Sabrina), Jeremy (Colleen), Russell (Danielle), Adam (Stephanie) and Tyler (Andrea). He also leaves behind great-nieces Breanna, Michelle, Dakota, Joey and Evelyn and great-nephews Riley, Jackson, Parker, Daniel and Aaron.

Cremation has taken place and at this time no service will be held.

Larry’s memory will forever live on in our hearts.
