I played baseball with Gary for many years in all the fields of Transcona on the B-52's co-ed team. Gary was an all-around good guy, fun player and teammate. He was so positive and competitive at the same time. We also watched Russell grow up with our team and Gary can take care of him now. Hugs to you Yvonne, and your family. Cherish your memories!
B-52's Pitcher, Terry L.

Going to miss you at the pitchers mound, kicking the ball to me at first. But you always get it to me. Rest in peace Gary. My condolences to the family.

I was so saddened to hear of Gary’s sudden passing. My deepest condolences go out to Yvonne and family.
Gary and I worked together for many years at CN Rail and remained good friends long after.
Everyone knew me as Popsie, but to Gary, I was always just “Pop’s” — something that always made me smile and spoke to the easy friendship that we shared.
I spend my winters down south now, and I was really looking forward to catching up again over coffee and breakfast at Salisbury House when I returned to Canada, just like we had done so many times before. I’ll miss those moments now more than I can say.
My kids also have fond memories of time spent with Gary’s son, Russell. His loss was something Gary carried with him always, and it showed the depth of his love as a father.
Gary was a good man and a true friend — steady, kind, and always ready with the joke of the day and a bit of humor. I’m going to miss you, ol’ friend.

This is one of the many times we posed together for Creatures of the Night Winnipeg.
We had such a great time doing it. We were so proud to put smiles on people's faces.
I will miss you.
