On March 27, 2026, Lisa Marie Pirrie (née Demmans) passed away at the age of 48. Her final moments were in HSC Hospital in Winnipeg, surrounded by her friends and family. She was born May 14, 1977. Along with her father, Rick, she was predeceased by her brother, Ewart; grandmother, Mary; grandparents, John and Elna Haselhan; and mother-in-law, Ingrid.

Lisa will be fondly remembered as a beautiful woman and a loving mother. She devoted time and poured out her heart to raise her beloved children, who will forever hold her memory close: Kaitlyn (and her partner, Richard), Brooke, Montana (and her daughter, Raine), and Brendan; her former husband Jeff Pirrie, as well as her stepchildren: Dalayna and DJ Thibert.

She touched the hearts of those around her, who will always remember her: her ride or die, Shannon Smith; her mother, Betty; her sister, Trisha and her husband, Nick and their children; her sisters, Michelle and Michelle; her brother, Mitchell and his wife, Krystal and their children; her auntie, Charlene; her brother in law, Raymond and his wife, Cheryl; her father in law, Gordon; and her cousin, Melissa. Along with her fiancé, Doug Thibert, and his family: her future mother-in-law, Mary-Lynne Thibert; and future sister-in-law, Karrie Thibert.

Lisa was born and raised in Winnipeg, which is where she raised her children as well. She worked hard to become a licensed hairstylist. Later, she had a career change and became an accountant for TransX. Even so, her love for hair never dwindled and she continued to style hair for her family. For a short time, Lisa lived with her dear friends (extended family) Nu, Diane, and Jeff Rupert in Winnipeg. She enjoyed having dinner with old friends at the Keg.

Lisa spent the last six years of her life in Lac du Bonnet with her fiancé Doug, where she enjoyed attending the local bar, Casey’s, to dance with her friends.

She loved watching the sunrise and she had a special appreciation for the wilderness. She would always explain the meanings behind spotting different animals: such as an eagle soaring overhead, and when a deer takes the time to look at you.

Lisa will forever be remembered and missed by her family and friends.
