Jody Charleene Yeats

Jody Charleene Yeats passed away peacefully with family by her side on  Friday, April 3, 2026 at Red River Place in Selkirk, MB, at the age of 74 years.

She was predeceased by her parents Charles and Cora; daughter Darcie; husband Larry Minion Man Johnson and good friend Jeanne.

Jody is survived by her daughter Koreene (Brian); grandchildren Terrik (Brittany), Jayden (Mesha), Corbin (Serenity); great-grandchildren Shane, Amelia, Kingsley, Amber, Mahlaya, Nevaeh and Nalani.  Nanny loved all the Kids – Queensley, Gwen and anyone else that came around.

She also leaves her brother Doug (Donna); nieces and nephews; family in Alberta, B.C.; Jody’s cousin Dawn and her good friend Dorothy.

Jody was born in Winnipeg, raising her family here with summers spent at Falcon Lake.  She worked different office jobs and was a Floral Arranger for Safeway (Jefferson location) and Petals.

She loved to bake, read, swim, go out walking, dancing and travelling. Nanny welcomed everyone; always the hostess.  Jody’s happy place was at her cottage in Brereton Lake, enjoying from early spring until late fall and all the summer fun in between!

The family especially thanks the Bannerman and Balleny families for their  love and support; friends from Brereton and the trailer park; and to Ed and John.

To everyone for their watchful eyes and rescue missions that gave us some good laughs!  Thank you to everyone at Red River Place for all your care and kindness.

A Celebration of Life service for Jody will be held on Friday May 22, 2026 at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street at 1:00 p.m.  Reverend Mary Best officiating. A reception will follow at Brian and Kory’s place at 75 Vernon Keats Place, West Pineridge.
