CHRISTINE SIWICKI

SEPTEMBER 23, 1953 - MARCH 29, 2026

It is with deep love and sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved wife, sister and aunt, Christine, on March 29, 2026 at Health Sciences Centre with her family by her side.

Chris was predeceased by her parents Tadeusz and Maria Slowik.

Memories of her will be cherished by her loving husband of 53 years, Sam; her sisters, Helen (Alex) and Jeannette (Len); her brother, Ted (Candice) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will also be remembered by relatives in Poland and Canada.

Chris will be remembered for her meticulous nature and unwavering dedication to doing everything with care and immense attention to detail. A true perfectionist! These characteristics made her well suited for her role as office manager at Champs Food Systems where she worked for more than 30 years.

Chris enjoyed gardening and spending time in her yard in the summer. She loved baking and trying new recipes where her creations brought happiness and comfort to those around her. We will always remember her warm hospitality.

She also had a deep love for travel. Trips to Europe, Hawaii and especially her cherished trips to Florida and many wonderful cruises. These vacations brought her great happiness and created lasting memories for some of her family that joined her and Sam on these trips.

She held a special place in the hearts of her nieces and nephews here in Winnipeg, whom she supported with love, guidance and encouragement. They will miss her dearly.

Chris was a woman of deep faith and a lifetime member of Holy Ghost Parish. Her faith was evident in her kindness, generosity, and strength. We thank God for the many wonderful years we had with Chris.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 9 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave., preceded by rosary prayers beginning at

10:00 a.m.. Interment will follow at the Holy Ghost Parish Cemetery, 4387 Main Street.
