GERALD GEORGE SEVERITE
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Gerald George Severite in the early morning hour of March 23rd, 2026 at 3 am, with his devoted, loving wife Donna Everette Severite of 10 years by his side. Gerald was born on August 31st,1958 in Berens River, Manitoba. He is pre-deceased by his parents; Mother Helen Bittern (nee Severite), Father Charlie Bittern, brother Dennis Bittern and sisters Mary Louis Ross, Vera Lorna Sinclair, Lena Theresa Sillers, Violet Bittern and Wilma Pascal.
Gerald leaves behind his devoted, loving wife, Donna, brothers Aldoph and Ronald Bittern, sisters Darlene Stagg, Merle and Muriel Bittern and Viola McElwain (John), his daughters Georgette (Teddy) and Jennifer Courchene, Son Robert and his grandsons; Jamie, Jay-R, Andrew and Kevin. Last surviving uncle Harvey Severite, great grandchildren, numerous nieces - special mention to his niece Crystal whom he was close to, and nephews. He also loved and treated his wife, Donna’s children, Spring and Sterling as his own and referred to them as my daughter and son.
He also leaves behind his furry little friend, Fido; whom he referred to as “my boy”. Fido never left his side and he even visited him at the hospital.
The family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Kim, Concordia Hospital & Health team, Dr. Ling (lung specialist), Dr. Pirzada (Medical Doctor), Dr. Shelley Pidsadny, (Medical Doctor) and Dr. Ouellette Cox (Windsor Hospital)
Many Thanks and appreciation to Berens River First Nation, Chief Hartley Everette and Council for all their support during this difficult time.
Gerald will be remembered for his gentle and kind character. His contagious humour and his smile.
