ANKA “ANN” ZOBARICH (NÉE SANKOVIĆ)

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Anka Zobarich (née Sanković) on March 19, 2026 at the age of 87.

Ann was born on June 25, 1938, in Žejane, Croatia. She married Mihael Zobarich on November 19, 1959 and shortly afterwards, they immigrated to Winnipeg where they built their life together.

Ann was a loving, selfless and hardworking woman who always put her family first. She will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, strength and devotion to her family. She was also a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and the Slovenian community, where she shared many cherished memories with family and friends over the years.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband Mihael Zobarich and brothers Ivan, Joe, Frank, and Tony (?). She is survived by her sons Mike and Richard; her siblings Boris, Helen and Neva; six grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Viewing will take place at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 3:00 p.m., with cremation to follow on Friday, March 27, 2026. A family interment will take place at Green Acres Cemetery, 1 Green Acres Lane, on Saturday, March 28, 2028 at 1:00 p.m.
