It is with broken hearts we announce the tragic passing of Heather Victoria Sybil Cochrane on March 9th 2026 at the young age of 32. As she left this world and moved on to the next, she was met by her Dad with arms wide open, where they have since been making up for lost time. 

Heather cherished her baby boy Coop, her family and her friends above all else. She had a rare and beautiful gift of making people feel truly seen, accepted, and at ease—able to be their most authentic selves in her presence. She was kind, caring, empathetic, and had a goofy/dark sense of humor that could bring light to any moment. Goofy, resilient, and full of life, Heather carried a deep appreciation for the simple joys—good coffee, homemade baking, long walks, crappy reality tv shows, beet leaf buns, and a refreshing dunk in the lake or ocean.

For ten years, Heather made her second home in Australia, where she built a life filled of adventure and  deep friendship. During her time there, she formed countless lifelong bonds and created a chosen family who truly meant the world to her. She loved her Aussie people heaps. 

Among those she held closest was her most prized possession, her beloved dog, Coop, who meant the absolute world to her.

She will be so deeply missed and forever remembered for her warmth, her laughter, her great big toothy smile, and the unwavering love she gave so freely. Death hasn't taken the best parts of Heather. The best parts of Heather have been left with all of us that she loved so deeply.  To honor Heather, those who loved her are encouraged to carry forward her spirit—embracing the little things, leading with kindness, finding joy in everyday moments, and living with the same light, resilience, and love that she shared with the world. 

Our family would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone near and far for their kind messages and thoughtful gestures as we navigate this incredibly difficult time.
