DONALD JOSEPH CHUDY

June 27, 1959 – January 30, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Donald Joseph Chudy on January 30, 2026, at the age of 66, at Maples Personal Care Home.

Donald was predeceased by his parents, Joe and Irene Chudy.

He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Christine Boychuk, Jim Chudy, Nancy Chudy (Ed), Darrell Chudy (Audrey), and Joanne Skzypek (John), as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and many dear friends.

Donald was born in Flin Flon, Manitoba. Growing up, he developed a lifelong love of hockey and was an avid fan who rarely missed a chance to watch the Winnipeg Jets play. He also had a deep love for animals and was a strong advocate for their care, often helping to rescue and rehome them. Donald frequently visited the Winnipeg Humane Society and cared deeply about the wellbeing of animals.

He was also a talented artist who enjoyed expressing his creativity through painting and woodworking.

Donald appreciated life’s simple pleasures and was especially fond of a good McDonald’s milkshake and chicken nuggets.

Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Winnipeg Humane Society in Donald’s name.

A celebration of Donald’s life will take place at a later date.
