Garry Edward Martell

Garry Edward Martell passed away with family by his side on Thursday, March 12, 2026 at home at the age of 82 years.

He was predeceased by his mother, father and siblings Celeste, Greg, Russell and Raymond.

Garry is lovingly remembered by his wife, Kaneena and children, Anthony, Kyle, Virginia, Sharon, Dwayne and Jason; grandchildren,

Jeremy, Nathan, Matthew, Brooke, Tiffany, Allyssa, Adam, Grayson and Kade. He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Garry was born in Port Arthur, Thunder Bay, Ontario. He and his siblings were placed in foster care at a young age. 

As a young teenager, Garry left foster care and made his way working across Canada. He met Kaneena in Winnipeg and fell in love. 

Together they started a life and family.

The family especially thanks the following people and organizations: Anthony and Crystal Mayham, Jason and Raegan Martell for all their help with arrangements and planning. Homecare workers, staff at St. Boniface Hospital and Victoria Hospital.

A Celebration of Life Services will be held on: Thursday, March 19 at 12:00pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel at 1442 Main Street.
