EDWARD STEPHEN CHAMAZIUK

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Edward Stephen Chamaziuk on Tuesday, March 10, 2026, at home at the age of 82 years.

Ed is survived by his loving wife and best friend of 59 years, Linda; as well as his daughters, Debbie and Diana (Dan); his grandchildren, Tamara, Matthew, Tyler and Aidan.

Ed graduated from St. John’s High School in 1963. He started working at Furgale Industries in October 1963. He attended the University of Manitoba where he graduated from the Faculty of Management in May 1971 with a Certified Industrial Managers Degree. He became the Comptroller at Furgale Industries and dedicated over 43 years before retiring in July 2007.

Ed & Linda were married on August 20, 1966. They spent many years raising a family, building a home and going on memorable family road trips. They also enjoyed numerous years traveling together. Whether it was trips to Las Vegas and Mexico, or cruises through the Caribbean or Hawaii, they always had a wonderful time together and enjoyed meeting many new friends.

Ed took pride in his lawn and garden. He would spend hours making sure their yard was immaculate. His goal was to ensure his property was the pride of the neighbourhood.

The golf course was Ed’s second home. He loved golfing and was a member of Rossmere Golf and Country Club for many years. Every week, you would find Ed playing rounds with his golf buddies.  Curling was a staple for the Chamaziuk’s household. Ed curled for many years and was even on the same team as Linda. He enjoyed being active and strategizing with his teammates.  Ed enjoyed watching sports and loved to cheer on the Winnipeg Jets and Winnipeg Blue Bombers. Countless memorable moments as a family were brought together by these sporting events.

The family would like to thank the paramedics and the staff at St. Boniface Hospital. The kindness shown from medical staff during this heartbreaking time was greatly appreciated.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street with interment to follow at Holy Family Cemetery.
