THEODORE BRIAN CHAIKOWSKY Obituary

Theodore (Ted) Brian Chaikowsky

A simple soul and a kind heart

Born Dec 10th 1950, Deceased Feb 10th, 2026

It is with deepest sympathy that we announce the sudden passing of Theodore (Ted) Chaikowsky, son of Peter and Jeanne (Dynkavitch) Chaikowsky.

A permanent fixture of North End Winnipeg, Ted was a jack of all trades. He was the second-hand man to his father Peter Chaikowsky (d. Sept 15 2004) of Acme Venetian Blinds. Active in karate, Ted was able to achieve his brown belt. Proud owner of an Olsmobile Cutlass, Ted had a knack for keeping any piece dirt from its shined surface. Ted was an avid Elvis Presly fan and could challenge anyone at trivia.

Many cousins have shared their childhood memories of Ted and his exuberance and talent for mischief.

Ted leaves behind his sister, Patricia (John Lewak), his nephew Jonathon Lewak, his niece and goddaughter Jennifer Lewak (Olivier Laquerre) and many cousins of the Chaikowsky and Dynkavitch families.

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to Mr. Rick Negrech and family, and Mr. Wayne Ledwoz for their kindnesses, generosity and friendship that they offered to Ted over the years.

Services will be held March 4th 2026, 11AM at Cropo Funeral Home, 1442 Main St, Winnipeg, MB.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Canadian National Institute for the Blind.
