With deep sorrow and much love, we mourn the passing of Brigitta McGreevy née Beresnikow, who left us at age 74 on Friday, February 13, 2026, in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

A traveller, talented quilter and dedicated family archivist, Brigitt’s love of books, music and tradition shaped her life and the legacy she leaves to her family. She was a kind and playful person who loved silly things, softness and simple comforts. She was always curious and fiercely determined.

We will remember her love, hope, kindness and generosity in handwritten notes, in thoughtful gifts and books, in warm blankets, in snowman decorations, in evening walks, in the birds and the trees and the sunsets.

Brigitt leaves behind her loving husband of 51 years Bob, her sons Philip (Tegan) and Alan (Christina), her grandchildren Clara and Breton, her nephews Greg (Kim) and Jeff, and her grandnephews and grandnieces Tyler, Katya, Ali and Grayson. She will be missed dearly by her friends in Winnipeg and Rainy River.

She is predeceased by her parents Victor and Trudy, her brother Edmund and his wife Susan.
