Kyle was born in Swan River, Manitoba, on March 1, 1987. He grew up most of his life in Indian Birch, where he spent his time with family, camping in the Kettle Hills during the summer months. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing video games with his brothers and cousins.

Later in life, Kyle met Stephanie Flett, with whom he had five daughters. During that time, he worked in Saskatchewan at the BroadGrains factory for several years before moving back to Manitoba. He then began working in construction at Wuskwi Sipihk First Nation and also worked on the highway with his sister Marissa for some time. After that, he worked with the “old-timer,” Roy Genaille, on the Manitoba Hydro Bipole project.

Kyle later moved to Winnipeg, where he met Karlye Richard. Together they had three children: Aubrey, Christopher, and Samantha Linklater. He also helped raise his three stepchildren: Noah, Tatum, and Kyle Richard.

Kyle loved all his children and was incredibly proud of each of them, especially his son, Christopher Nolan Linklater—his only boy. He was overjoyed when his son was born. Kyle will be remembered for his love, his humor, and the way he always joked around with his family.

Kyle leaves behind to mourn his passing his mother, Margaret (Brass) Linklater;

brothers Aaron Brass, Bryton Linklater, and Stevie Ray;

sisters Marissa (Max) Linklater, Samantha (Ryan) Kematch-Genaille, and Kianna (Ethan) Linklater;

children Kylie, Miley, Amy, Hailey, and Lacey Flett; Aubrey, Christopher, and Samantha Linklater;

and his stepchildren Noah, Tatum, and Kyle Richard.

He also leaves to mourn his passing his uncles George (Hammer) Brass, Mike (Velda) Brass, Charlie Boone (Eve) Brass, Hanson Sanderson, and Jason Tobacoo;

aunties, Suzanne Brass, Annie Tobacoo, Sylvia Buck, and many more family members, too many to mention.

Kyle was predeceased by his grandparents Clifford and Rosalie Brass, and George Sanderson and Elsie Tobacoo;

uncles, Alex, Marcel, and Gordon Brass;

great-uncle, Charlie (Mudhen) Genaille, who gave him the nickname Coyote; father, Lyle Tobacoo; and nephew, Keenan Linklater.
