LINDA GRACE WILGOSH Obituary

LINDA GRACE WILGOSH (LUSSIER)

April 4, 1948 – January 21, 2026

Well mom, you are finally free to run in the wheat fields.

We were so blessed with such an amazing mom. Our mom loved our dad, yellow roses, medium black Tim’s coffee, George Straight, the “one armed bandit”, her Zellers card, cruising around Transcona with a Big Gulp, Pot of Gold Chocolate, Clinique, and shopping Amazon. We smile knowing that she is now reunited in heaven with our dad Robbie.

Our mom always filled the room with light and love. Her sense of humour was dry and her wit was quick. Her face always said whatever she was feeling. We all laughed when she attempted to make her “mad face” and none of us could ever take it seriously no matter how hard she tried. We never doubted the love she had for us. She lived for us. Our mom always saw the glass as half full. Mom’s life was hard and often it wasn’t fair. She always said she had broad shoulders. She lived each day with hope in her heart. If things were really tough she would say “things will be better tomorrow”. She believed that. She showed our family how to be resilient and adapt to whatever life throws at you.

Our mom made us feel loved and heard. She was our safe place. She dedicated her life to raising us. Her goal was to make us good human beings. Mom played a huge part in her grandchildren’s lives as well. She saw the uniqueness in each of them and she loved the mischief in all of them (not only loved it, she often encouraged it!). You could always be your true self with her and she loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally, exactly as we were.

Caring for our Mom and Grammy has been an honour. She has taught us so many lessons. Her life circumstances challenged us to be better people.

We would like to extend a special thank you to all of mom’s care givers through the years. You are all so important and appreciated. Special thank you to the staff at Donwood Manor Personal Care Home for making our mom feel safe, loved, and at home.

Grammy will forever be missed by her children Kim Szyszkowski (Jeff), Jeff Wilgosh (Anna) and grandchildren Samantha (Katherine), Zachary (Hailey), Owen and Macy.

We have all lost our earth angel. Our mom’s favorite book was I’ll Love You Forever. Since 1986, our mom has written that in every card that we received from her.

We are so honoured and grateful that we were able to take care of her the way she took care of us.

Grams, we sure hope that you are moving those skinny legs in heaven, finally free of pain.

Everyone hold your loved ones tight and live life to the fullest.

I’ll love you forever

I’ll like you for always

As long as I’m living

My mommy you’ll be

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Donwood Personal Care Home 2South Recreation Program.
