MICHAEL ERNIE MOLNAR

November 8, 1940 – January 11, 2026

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of my dad Michael Ernie Molnar on Sunday, January 11, 2026 at the age of 85.

Dad was born in Szentgottard, Hungary on November 8th, 1940.  He came to Canada in 1957 at the age of 17 with his family and settled in Winnipeg.  Dad worked along side with his brother Joseph at Qualico Homes for many years. After that he was employed at Dominion Tanners where he retired in 2000.

Dad loved the outdoors camping, fishing and hunting.  He enjoyed bowling in many leagues for 5 and 10 pin.  He loved playing cards, especially crib that we played for hours.

Dad is survived by his daughter Liz (Danny) and many Nieces and Nephews.   He is predeceased by his wife Sharon; parents Julius and Anna and his siblings Julius, Frank, Joseph, Anne and Maria.

There will be a private gathering with immediate family and friends to celebrate his life.

I want to thank Maples Personal Care Home staff, nurses and aides for all their Compassion and support over the years.

I would also like to thank my good friend Maryanne for being by my side at this difficult time.

Rest Peacefully Dad.  I will miss my best friend every single day.
