HARRY COSTIK Obituary

HARRY COSTIK

February 15, 1941 – January 5, 2026

Harry passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on January 5th at the age of 84. Known for his quick wit and warm sense of humor, Harry’s greatest gift was his generosity and kindness toward others. He will be deeply missed by the many who loved him and warmly welcomed by those who went before him.

Born on February 15th, 1941 in Winnipegosis, Harry was predeceased by his parents, Elizabeth and Harry Sr.; his daughter Kim; his brothers Peter and Jimmy and his brother-in-law Dave Nichols.

At the heart of Harry’s life was his devotion to family and friends. He shared 62 loving years with his beloved wife Diane. He leaves behind his daughters Lisa (Don) and Corinna (Barry); his cherished grandchildren Tiffany (Aviya), Tyler (Chloe), Max (Elsbeth) and his three adored great-granddaughters—Jessa, Emberly, and Scarlett—who brought him immeasurable joy.  Harry is also survived by his siblings Irene, Bobby, Lawrence (Di) and Stella; along with many in-laws and extended family members that he loved.

A hardworking man, Harry dedicated 39 years to CP Rail before retiring to enjoy his greatest passions: fishing with friends and grandchildren, playing pool with his longtime buddies and spending time with his family. His life was one of love, laughter, and loyalty, and his memory will be treasured always.

Harry will be remembered and celebrated in a private family ceremony in the coming weeks.
