KATHLEEN JOYCE RITCHIE Obituary

KATHLEEN JOYCE RITCHIE

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Joyce at the St. Boniface Hospital on Wednesday, December 24, 2025.

She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children Kent (Lana), Lynn (Stan) and Karen (Sebastien); grandchildren Brittney (Marshall), Landon (Paige), Katie (Austin) and Sam (Mackenzie); great-grandchildren Ori Weinstein, Madeline Weinstein, Miller Ritchie, Scotlyn Ritchie and Jude Armstrong.  She also leaves behind brother Roy McFadyen (Wendy), Verla Vann and numerous nieces and nephews.

Joyce was predeceased by her husband Donald Ritchie; parents Vera and Carl McFadyen; brother Bill and Mercia McFayden and sister Audrey and Lorne McGorman.

Outgoing and independent, Joyce was a loving wife, the most wonderful mother and grandmother, great friend and loving aunt.

She lived her life full of love.  Joyce expressed care through baking your favorite desserts just so you knew you were special.

Joyce expressed care through time spent together, thoughtful presence and always was there to listen when you needed her.  Her legacy is not just memories, but of being deeply cared for.

Our family would like to express our sincere thanks to all nurses and medical team for the dignified and comforting care that was given to our mom on the 6th floor and the 4th floor at the St. Boniface Hospital.

A service will be held at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026 at 2:00 p.m.
