EDWARD J. ZALUSKI

Edward passed away peacefully on Monday, December 1, 2025, at the age of 84.

Predeceased by his wife Delores , son Duncan, parents John & Nellie, brothers Steven, Thomas, Stanley and sister Elizabeth.  He leaves behind his children  Dwayne and Colleen, his sister Victoria (Tony), many nieces and nephews as well as his good friend and neighbour Will.

He was born in Cooks Creek, MB grew up working on the farm before moving to Winnipeg.  Dad was one of many who helped build the grotto in Cooks Creek at the Ukrainian Catholic Church, always happy to help Fr. Ruh when ever asked. 

He played drums in a band in his early years and later supported all his children’s musical interests, even managing bands his son Duncan was in, as well as being a troop leader for the Boy Scouts for many years as his boys went through the program.

Dad worked at Versatile and Mobile Forklift and enjoyed repairing boats for friends.

The family would like to thank the following: Dr. Andrea Thwala, Dr. John Kreml, Seven Oaks Urgent care staff, doctors & nurses, Grace Hospital Emergency and staff of 5 North at Grace. 

Prayers will be on Thursday, December 11 at 7:00 pm at Cropo Funeral Chapel on Main St.. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, December 12 at 11:00 am at St. Anthony of Padua Parish (WK), 250 Burrin Ave.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Edward’s memory  to St. Anthony of Padua Parish (WK) or Winnipeg Harvest.
