VANESSA MAY PARISIEN

May 21, 1992 – November 28, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Vanessa May Parisien, who left us peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025 in Winnipeg, surrounded by loved ones. 

Born on May 21, 1992, Vanessa was known and cherished by many for her pure soul, radiant smile and the effortless way she brought people together. She danced with rhythm, laughed with joy, travelled the world with wonder, and was the best company at any table.

A dedicated educator and basketball coach, Vanessa made a lasting impact teaching at Elmwood High School and Churchill High School, and was set to return as an alumna to Daniel McIntyre Collegiate Institute. Her passion for helping others learn, defined every chapter of her life.

After a courageous five-month battle with cancer, she continued teaching those around her with grace and strength. Vanessa is survived by her mother June, father Ben, Aunt Loretta (Kevin), brothers Phil and Ryan, her beloved nieces Renée and Averie, nephews Declan and Cade, cousins Troy, Tiffany, Little Scotty, Kaitlyn (Dean) and Kyle (Vanessa M.), Uncle Mike (Alice), Emily (Patrick), Riana (Brayden), Uncle Scott (Janet), her cherished cat Tito, and her best friends Raven and Bryan.

Vanessa leaves behind many cherished friends and too many family members to mention.

The family extends heartfelt thanks to the Palliative Care team at St. Boniface Hospital, where Vanessa was both lovingly cared for and originally welcomed into the world.

A private family service will be held. Details for Vanessa’s Celebration of Life, which will be open to all who wish to attend, will be shared in the coming days.
