RAUL REGO TELES
January 1, 1945 – November 25, 2025
It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Raul Rego Teles on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
He was born in Sao Miguel, Acores, and at 17, came to Canada for a better life.
He was predeceased by his father, Guilherme, who passed in Sao Miguel, and his mother, Maria do Carmo, his two brothers Gastaõ and Viriato here in Canada, as well as one sister-in-law, Eduarda.
Raul will be deeply missed by his wife, Suzanne, of 27 years (whenever she heard him whistle, she knew he was happy). He will also be missed by his sister-in-law Rosa, and his surviving niece, nephews, and extended family.
Raul was a hard-working and kind man. He came to Canada at a young age, and started and ended his career at CN Rail. He believed in family and could always be counted on if someone needed a helping hand.
Raul will surely be missed by all whom he left a lasting impression.
Prayers will be held for Raul on Monday, December 8, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2025 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Church, 250 Burrin Avenue, with Fr. Dominic Yuen as celebrant. Interment will follow the mass at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Parkinson Canada or Diabetes Canada.
