Jose Sousa

Jose Sousa passed away on Thursday, November 6, 2025 at Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba, at the age of 76 years.

He was predeceased by mother, Maria; father, Antonio; sister, Beatriz; and brother, Antonio.

Jose is lovingly remembered by wife, Nelia Sousa; children, Melissa (Ryan), David (Donna), Daniel, Antonio, and Tania (Nelson); grandchildren, Oliver, Sienna, Jaxon, Averie, Brett, and Ayla.

He also leaves his brothers, Manuel (Lourdes), Jose Antonio (Kim); sisters, Fatima (Jose Antonio); sister-in-law, Emilia; and numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.

The family especially thanks Grace Hospital ICU, surgical daycare, and emergency Doctors, Nurses, and Health Care Aids.

Prayers will take place on Friday, November 14, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. in Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.

A funeral mass will take place on Saturday, November 15 at 10:00 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Parish, 181 Austin Street N. Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.
