In Loving Memory of James Robert Sims

March 9, 1949 – November 2, 2025

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather and friend. His memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege to know him.

James “Jim” Sims passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at the age of 76, surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 9, 1949, in Manitou Manitoba, Jim was a man of quiet strength, courage and love.

Jim was known for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering support, he touched many hearts through his selfless actions and warm spirit. Jim enjoyed spending time on the golf course, visiting with his grandkids and attending AA meetings, where he was able to pass on strength, courage and empathy, lessons he learned well during his 33 years of sobriety.  Jim enjoyed people. His wisdom, humour, and caring nature created lasting bonds and fond memories that will be treasured for years to come.

Jim is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Judy; his children Bryan (Rena) and Cynthia (Matthew); his grandchildren Noah, Elyn and Emry and along with a large extended family. He was proceeded in death by his parents Walter and Annie Sims and his beloved nephew Michael Sims.

A celebration of life will be held to honour his memory and share stories of the joy he brought to others. Details of the service will be provided by the family at a later date.  

As we mourn his loss, we also celebrate the remarkable life he led. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched, his children and grandchildren.  May he rest in peace, and may we find comfort in the memories we hold dear.
