It is with deep love and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Reyna Argentina Hernandez, on October 18, 2025, at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 74 years.

Reyna was born on December 3, 1951, in Pueblo Nuevo, Tiquisate, Guatemala. She spent her early years in Tiquisate before moving to Guatemala City at the age of 11. In 1992, Reyna and her family immigrated to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, where she built a life rooted in love, family, and faith the place she proudly called home for the rest of her life.

Reyna is survived by her devoted husband, Julian, and their loving children: Iris (Boanerges), Heydy (Roberto), and Julian (Debbie). She was the cherished grandmother of Michelle, Johanna, Savannah, Nicholas, Javier, Isabella, Marco, and Camilo, and the proud great-grandmother of little Sophia.

Those who knew Reyna will always remember her as a patient, calm, and deeply loving woman whose laughter could light up any room. Her sense of humor and joyful spirit brought warmth wherever she went. She had a heart of gold, always putting others before herself and her kindness and generosity touched everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Her greatest passion was her family. She found joy in bringing everyone together, especially through her famous Caldo de Rez, a dish she prepared with love that became a family tradition. Every bowl was filled with the same warmth and care that defined her life.

To her family, Reyna was what her name represents Queen not only in name but in spirit. She carried herself with grace, patience, humility, and endless love. She ruled her home not with authority, but with compassion, honesty, and a heart that never stopped giving.

Reyna will be deeply missed and forever remembered for her laughter, her love, and the beautiful legacy she leaves behind in her family.

A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.
