LILLIAN RUTH PRYSIZNEY

November 18, 1933 – October 20, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lillian Ruth Prysizney (nee Hurren) on Monday, October 20, 2025. Her passing comes after a prolonged illness with a respiratory virus. Lillian fought long and hard.

Beloved Grandma, Mom and Aunt, Lillian was a person of great character, always giving of herself.

We were lucky to have her as long as we did. She will be greatly missed.

Born on November 18th, 1933 in Beaverton, Ontario to parents Ralph and Phoebe Hurren. Lillian had one brother, Bill.  Lillian married Edward Prysizney on October 29, 1960 and they had two children.

Lillian is lovingly remembered by her children Joanne and Ron (Tammy); grand children Samantha and Delainie and great-grand child Chloe.

Mom was proud of being the first woman in Manitoba to receive her Engineering certification for Manitoba. The men fought her and made it as difficult as possible at the time, but as always, she persevered.

In accordance with mom’s wishes there will be no formal service or ceremony.

Thank you Lillian, for your love and guidance. You were always there for all of us.

Gone but never forgotten.
