JOHN LAMEY JOBES

1934-2025

It is with a Heavy Heart that I'm sharing with you that my Dad has passed away... Dad was born in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia on October 25th, 1934 and departed from this world peacefully, in Winnipeg, Manitoba on October 1st, 2025..

Dad is predeceased by in his beloved Wife Lestra J. Jobes (nee) MacPherson; and survived by his children David, Bill and (his Spouse Ryah and their children), Leslie, Steve and (his Spouse Pam and their children) and Angela and (her spouse Kelly).

"To everything there is a season"... I'm so very thankful for the opportunities that God gave to me to be able to spend some quality time with the man who had a great positive influence in my life; my Dad, John Jobes... As I pause for a moment and think of all the great things he did for our family in my lifetime my heart fills with gratitude; but I must go beyond mentioning what Dad did; and include the outstanding qualities of his character: of Dad being a caring, committed provider and protector for our family; of Dad being instrumental in influencing and instilling character traits in me and my brothers and sisters: like being a visionary with courage, discipline and resilience; like looking out for his neighbors; like teaming up with Mom to extend warm, inviting hospitality to extended family and longtime friends; and like his intellectual capacity to acquire: a pilot's license; to work his way up through the ranks in The Canadian Armed Forces to the rank of Master Warrant Officer; to become a very successful Real-estate agent; like being a highly skilled home renovations handyman doing all the carpentry, electrical and plumbing; and I must also include his quick witted, winsome sense of humor... I thank God for Dad... "Spending Time with Loved Ones Is an Investment of Infinite Value!

My family and I would like to thank the management and staff of Golden Door Geriatric Centre and Beacon Hill Lodge; and the excellent medical and diagnostic teams at the Grace and Seven Oaks Hospitals and Dr. B. Sharky; and the HSC Transplant Centre for the excellent Heath Care that they were instrumental in providing for my Dad over the years... Thank you so much for visiting; praying that you and your loved ones are enjoying life; and will have a very blessed day today; and live happily forever after! Shalom... "
