I first met Roma in 1973 when I dated and later married her younger sister. From the very start, I recognized her good heart, generosity, kindness, and wonderful sense of humour. It was always nice to know that one would be welcomed into her home without judgment and treated warmly as a friend of the family. The upbringing of her children illustrated the success of her efforts with four, wonderful daughters each of whom exhibited the same, wonderful, human characteristics often found lacking in young people today. Her positive outlook, joyous spirit and nature and big smile could always be counted upon to brighten one's day; her roaring laughter still echoes in my head. Yes, it was very sad to hear of Roma's passing, but we must all be grateful for her being part of our lives. As well, we should all be happy to celebrate her long and happy life - one which was well spent and one which will be remembered by all those who knew her. Goodbye, farewell and may you rest in peace.
