It is with deep sorrow and much love that we announce the passing of Jane Elizabeth (Nelson) Kinley, aged 75, on Sunday, September 14, 2025, at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, MB.

Born on February 23, 1950, in Virden, Manitoba, Jane was the beloved daughter of Mabel and Bev Nelson. She was raised in a lively and loving family, sharing her early years with her siblings: Larry Nelson, Garry Nelson (Lorraine), Daryl Nelson (Susan), Tim Nelson, and her late sisters Debbie (Paul) and Linda (Lorne).

Jane was predeceased by her devoted husband, Harvey Allen Kinley of Kelwood, MB. Together they built a life centered on family, love, and resilience.

She was a cherished mother to Allen Kinley (Maria), Paul Kinley (Tracy), Nelson Kinley (Sybile), and Rhonda Kinley (Jeff Hubel). Her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, and she found immeasurable happiness in each of their lives.

Jane leaves behind a legacy through her grandchildren: Daniel Kinley (Melanie), Stefan Kinley, Devon Kinley (Veronica), Austin Kinley (Jacqueline), Michael Kinley (Shelby Darcis), Nicholas Fontaine (Katrina Snell), Sydney Kinley (Cole Dupuis), Kayla Kinley, Jarod Kinley, Jordan-Lee Kinley, Myiah Kinley, Kalie Mercredi (Jayden Shultz), and Kody Mercredi, and her great-grandson AJ Kinley, and another one on the way.

Jane had a kind soul, a strong spirit, and a wonderful sense of humor. Her home was always warm and welcoming, filled with laughter, food, and the unconditional love she gave to both family and friends. She had a deep love for her animals and was never without the companionship of her beloved pets, Dusty and Raven (Raisin), who brought her comfort and joy.

Jane’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew her—family, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

The family would like to express heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff in the Palliative unit at St. Boniface Hospital for the care and dignity shown to Jane in her final days.

Details of a celebration of Jane’s life, will be shared with family and friends at a later date.
