My name is Carmen Guenther and I am the daughter of Robert Guenther. Robert was Tabea's baby brother, and Tabea Klein,(also known as Tante Toby), was my aunt.
Tante Toby was always like a mother to me. She was there for me, many times, if I needed her.
I enjoyed her many visits with dad and us, as they were very close. My daughter Dana also has fond memories of her love and bright smile.
One of the many things I admired about Tante Toby was her loving nature towards us kids. She made sure that we were all fed and taken care of.
Her and Onkle Otto always opened their home to family and friends when they visited Winnipeg from Germany or B.C. Her cooking was some of the finest German dishes and delicacies. She volunteered at the German club, German Folklorama and Oktoberfest. Always staying in her German heritage.
Tante Toby owned investment properties when I was younger and one of my earliest memories is playing with both of my cousins, Bob and Manuela on the steps in one of her houses. I realized at a young age that I had a love of houses and she inspired me to become a realtor.
I will always remember my Tante, for her love, kindness, generosity and class.
I have to say, that Tante Toby motivated me to be confident, to always look my best, and to love family!
She will always own a piece of my heart.

It is not easy for us to find the right words, but we would like you to know that our thoughts are with you.
My memories of the Klein family are of wonderful weekends in 1974 when I was stationed as a soldier in the German Armed Forces at C.F.B. Shilo. On Fridays, the trip to Winnipeg, Dominion Street was the highlight. I knew there would be good food prepared by mother Klein and lots of laughter with father Klein. On Saturdays, the whole family would go to the German Club. On Sundays after lunch, the good life was over for me and it was back to Shilo.
Even though death is a part of life, it is always the pain that remains and that one must endure. Family and friends are the ones who help you overcome your grief.
Otto and Tabea Klein are no longer where they were, but they are always where we are.
