CINDY JOAN TOBACCO Obituary

In Loving Memory of Cynthia (Cindy) Tobacco

It is with heavy hearts as we share the passing of our beloved sister, aunty, and friend Cindy, who passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on August 25th. She was a shining light in our lives, always smiling, always kind, and always ready to make everyone feel welcome and understood.

From a young age, Cindy had a love for hockey and sports, playing on numerous teams throughout her life. On the ice and off, she brought people together with her warmth, generosity, and unshakable spirit. She had a rare gift: She made friends everywhere she went and you could talk to her about anything, and she would listen in a way that made you feel seen, cared for, and loved.

She is survived by her sisters Rose (Cecil), Nancy (Skender), Jackie, and Jody (Gary), and by her brothers Vern and Sonny, and all of her beloved aunts and uncles, cousins, her nieces and nephews and her great-nieces and great-nephews that she loved so dearly as if they were her own. She is predeceased by her loving parents, Maxine and Joey, and grandparents Rose Ann and Archie, who surely welcomed her home with open arms. The rest of her family, along with countless friends and teammates, will carry her memory forever.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 5th at 11:00 AM at Cropo Funeral Chapel - Main Street. A reception will follow, after which family and friends will proceed together to the cemetery.

Cindy filled every room with laughter and love, and though we will miss her deeply, her kindness and joy will live on in all of us, and remember to always look on the bright side.
