Andrea Lee Heidman (née Hudak)

January 16, 1963 – July 28, 2025

With heavy hearts and profound love, we announce the passing of Andrea Lee Heidman, who left this world on Monday, July 28, 2025, at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 62.

Born on January 16, in Winnipeg, Andrea was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend — known for her humor, generosity and fierce love for her family.

Andrea dedicated her life to being a stay-at-home mother and wife, roles she embraced with unmatched commitment and joy.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Steven; her daughter Kendra (Michael); her beloved grandchildren Everett and Whitney; her mother-in-law Anita; her sister Susie (Dave); brother Donald; sister Bonnie and sister-in-law Linda (Andre); brother-in-law Warren and her Nieces and Nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother Joan and sister Barb.

Andrea will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her willingness to help others despite her own health struggles, and the warmth she brought to every room. Her cherished dog, Bambie, was always by her side and brought her great comfort and joy. She loved every moment spent with her husband, daughter and grandchildren, who were the absolute center of her world and the greatest joy of her life.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the compassionate staff of the Health Sciences Centre MICU for the exceptional care and kindness shown to Andrea in her final days.

A private service will be held for close family and friends on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at Cropo Funeral Chapel in Transcona, 1800 Day Street at 10:30 a.m., reception to follow at Day Street.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to honor Andrea's memory with a donation to Diabetes Canada.
