JOHN PETER CWIK

August 26, 1953 – July 12, 2025

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of John Peter Cwik on Saturday July 12, 2025 at Health Sciences Center the age of 71.

John was predeceased by his parents John and Helen Cwik.

John is survived by his siblings Teresa, Susan, Sandra (Jules), Ron and Tracy.

Born on August 26, 1953, John devoted many years to a proud career with Canadian Pacific Railway, where he built lifelong friendships and left a lasting impact.

He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, gentle nature and strength and his quiet sense of humor.

He touched the lives of many through both his work and personal life, and will be deeply missed.  His memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Evening prayers and visitation will be held on Thursday, July 17, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main Street.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, July 18, 2025 at St. Andrews Bobola Roman Catholic Church, 541 Marion Street with Rosary starting at 9:30 a.m.  Interment will be at Assumption Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.

Today is full of memories

of a brother laid to rest

and every single one of them

is filled with happiness.

For you were someone special

always such a joy to know

and there was so much pain

when it was time to let you go
