Alida deJonge

July 7, 1942 – July 3, 2025

Alida (Lida) deJonge passed away surrounded by family, on July 3, 2025 at St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg.

She was predeceased by her father Willem Zaal, her mother Aafra Zaal and her brother Fred Zaal, and her brother-in-law George Delongchamp.

Lida is lovingly remembered by her children Kimberley Andres (Michael) and Rob deJonge. Her 8 grandchildren Burgandy (Keagan), Dana, Arizona (Thomas), Lydia, Hudson, Carl, Ryan and Preston. Lida also leaves her sisters Rita Frewer (Dennis), Elizabeth Zaal, Wilma Delongchamp and her sister-in-law Sharon Zaal.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to the care team at Palliative Manitoba, who showed exceptional care and compassion to Lida during her time there and in her final days.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 1:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel Transcona, 1800 Day Street.
