KYLE ERNEST DRAKE HEAD

May 6, 1993 – June 22, 2025

Kyle passed away on Sunday June 22, 2025 at the Health Science Centre with his family by his side at the age of 32.

Kyle is lovingly remembered by his father and mother Earnest and Eleanor and his children Kylee and Emma.  He is remembered by his brothers Thomas, Jordan, Victor and Edward; his best friend Tyler and brothers and to all who knew him.  He also leaves numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Born in Flin Flon and raised in Winnipeg; Kyle enjoyed family time.  Our Kyle was the most caring and solid person we know.  His love and compassion for others will live on through his beautiful children.  Kyle was not shy to express his caring vibes to anyone he met or who knew him.  He had a contagious laugh and a silly sense of humour. When we would sit around and chat he would be the loudest one, for someone who didn’t like attention.  He sure made it known he was around by bugging and teasing his brothers.  He would say “Lets game Bro”.   Kyle loved to cook and eat and loved spending time fishing with his dad. As old as he was, he loved watching cartoons and playing video games or some sort of game.  Kyle always talked about his girls Kylee and Emma.  He loved his girls so much.  When we were together, he would say, “Mom I’m gonna get a spot so my kids can come over anytime”. Our Kyle had so much love to give.  He cared about everyone, not only his family but everyone he knew. Whether it was a friend or a stranger he just met, his spirit touched a lot of souls out there.   

Kyle had a fighting spirit, he fought so hard to be with us all, but Creator had plans for him.  He saw our son, brother and father getting tired.  We are very grateful we were given more time with our Kyle to share another birthday, Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and his dad’s birthday.  Most of all he got to meet his beautiful creation, his daughter Emma.  For that I’m forever grateful.

His children will carry his love for life and his fighting spirit.

We would like to thank all the medical team at the Health Science Centre that helped our Kyle through his battle and for your endless support.   He fought so long and hard.  We really appreciated all the care that was shown to our Kyle.  Thanks to Dr. Ziesman, the Health Science Centre Surgical & Trauma team, spiritual care and Indigenous services.
