Obituary of EZEQUIEL GUERREIRO BRAZ

EZEQUIEL GUERREIRO BRAZ
December 22, 1945 – June 21, 2025

It is with immense sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Ezequiel Guerreiro Braz, 79, of Alte, Portugal on June 21st, 2025.

Ezequiel was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He grew up in Portugal and moved to Winnipeg with his loving wife in the 70’s. There he settled and raised a family. He was a construction worker by trade but his passion was agriculture. Wherever he lived, he would dig up the backyard and create a beautiful vegetable garden which he would tend to for countless hours.

Ezequiel will be remembered for his kindness, his love of family, his work ethic, his storytelling and his love of Quim Barreiros.

Ezequiel is predeceased by his father (Joao Braz), his mother (Fernanda Guerreiro) and his brother (Jose Braz). He is survived by his wife Odete, his daughter Jessica (Giancarlo) his son Nelson (Cristina) and his beautiful granddaughters Brooklyn, Alexandra, Olivia, Tatiana and Andrea. He also leaves behind his brother Jose Dionisio (Isaura), nephews Nuno and Rui, sister-in-law Aldegundes and nieces Paula and Natalie.

A prayer service will be held at Cropo Funeral Home (1442 Main Street) on Saturday, June 28 at 7:00P.M..
