Obituary of JAMES DONALD LANG
September 21, 1958 to May 31, 2025
It is with deep sadness we announce the sudden passing of our father, grandfather, brother and uncle.
Left to mourn are his children Kelly (Richard), Brent, Luke (Amanda), Grandchildren; Bradley, Austin, Zachary and Devlin; Siblings Susan, Barbara Mymryk, Clare (Lloyd Burdett), Louise (Ken Koswin), Tom, Greg (Eileen) and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his father and mother Norman and Mary (Rysiew); the mother of his children, Kathy; Brother-in-law Glen Mymryk; Nephew Francis Koswin and Great-niece, McKenzie Gair.
Jim was born in Winnipeg and spent all of his life in Manitoba. His early education was in the Roman Catholic parish of Saint Joseph's, where he served as an altar boy.
Jim was a kind hearted and loving person who went out of his way to help others. He was always ready with a corny joke, funny saying or physical comedy. He could be counted on to lighten any mood or brighten any room. He found joy in fishing with family, darts, biking, reading, watching and discussing movies, collaborating on puzzles, crosswords and matching wits with Alex Trebek. He was also an avid sports fan - especially his Green Bay Packers.
He has passed on to the great fishing hole in heaven. Our hearts are broken by our profound loss.
In keeping with Jim's wishes, cremation will take place and a private family service will follow.
We will miss him dearly.
God has him in his loving arms.
Rest in peace, until we meet again.
Love you Jim.
