Obituary of JOZEF MADEJCZYK
JOZEF (JOE) MADEJCZYK
1961 – 2025
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Jozef (Joseph/Joe) Madejczyk on May 14, 2025.
Joe is survived by his brother Miroslaw Madejczyk, sister Izabela Madejczyk (Nelson), sister Dozia Cieklinska, nephew Jerzy (Katarzyna) and their children Jan, and Julian-Elias, and nephew Miroslaw (Monika) and their children Natalia, Katarzyna, and Orest, brother Zenon Madejczyk (Maria), and good friend Agnieszka Devaoux (nee Kaluzny).
Joe was predeceased by his parents Wasyl and Katarzyna Madejczyk and his brother Igor.
Jozef was born and educated in Poland, and completed his post-secondary education (MATURA). Leaving his old life behind, he decided to emigrate from Poland in 1988. He came to Canada with his spirit and generosity, and a heart full of love.
Jozef dedicated his life to hard work, family, and faith. Jozef was a man of deep faith and a believer in God and always honored Sundays with reverence and joy. He loved traditional holidays, especially Christmas and Easter, and celebrated them with warmth, generosity, and reverence. Yet, Jozef was never defined by a single role. He was a fixer-upper and a jack of all trades. He was someone who could do just about anything and so it with excellence, humility, and quiet strength.
Joe held some jobs over the years, but his longest and most cherished was working at MCI.
He thought not only with his hands, but also with his heart. He was always patient, always kind, and always ready to help. He gave love in action, in quiet thoughtful, extraordinary ways that can never be forgotten.
Jozef was a believer. Not just in God, but in people. He believed in tradition. Joseph was, simply put, a good man. He was the kind of man who did the right thing, even when no one was watching. He was the kind of man who gave quietly, who showed up every time, who worked harder than anyone, and who loved so very deeply – Even when others did not. Yes, sometimes people took advantage of his goodness and kindness. But, Jozef never closed his beautiful heart. He kept giving and he kept loving. Not because he didn’t see it, but because he chose to live and love with grace.
He always chose to see the best in people. Always! He gave us more than we can ever replay. He worked with his hands but loved with his pure, whole heart. He was gentle, faithful, and good.
Jozef: You loved us fiercely. You gave everything to us, and even though the world did not always give back. You never stopped being good. We love you, Joe!
Always listening, always giving, always loving.
