Obituary of DANIEL ZELJKO PAULIC
Daniel Zeljko Paulic
July 5, 1951 - May 8, 2025
After a short-lived battle with cancer, it is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Zeljko Paulic at Seven Oaks General Hospital.
Predeceased by his parents Stjepan and Barbara Paulic and sister, Zlata Novak. He will be deeply missed by dear and loving companion Dorothy Warwaruk, brother-in-law Vlado Novak, niece Natalie Dakovic (Sasa) and nephew Robert Novak (Jennifer), along with grandnephew Filip and grandniece Ava.
Daniel was an avid sports fan, who in his younger years, played much hockey and baseball. He enjoyed playing chess, dancing and good conversation over coffee. He also took much pleasure in a hearty meal and had an enormous sweet-tooth often joking about having an extra stomach only for desserts, but he especially enjoyed a good joke where a belly laugh was had by all.
A heartfelt thanks and sincere gratitude to Dorothy and family for their kindness and care during Daniel's final days; to Bernadette Warwaruk, who as an ICU nurse at St. Boniface Hospital, gave her attention and guidance during his difficult time; and to Bridgette Zacharius, who provided comfort with a beautiful prayer in his final moments. Also, a thank you to the staff at both St. Boniface and Seven Oaks General Hospital.
He is forever in our hearts and may God grant him eternal peace.
In accordance with Daniel's wishes, cremation has taken place. Funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, May 21, 2025 at 10:00 am at St. John Cantius Roman Catholic Church, 846 Burrows Avenue.
