Our condolences to Barbara’s family. Fortunately, we had a nice visit with Barbara when she visited Victoria last December. She was a very kind and generous person, who helped a lot of people. She was engaged with current political issues, liked to tell stories from her travels, and had a good sense of humour. Dan worked at CUSO in Vancouver with Barbara, in 1997, and when she heard we were looking for a dog sitter so we could take a vacation, she volunteered and did so several times. Years later she started her pet sitting consistently, and she flew out to Galiano Island and Otter Point several times to take care of our two cats. We are very grateful to Barbara and will miss her a lot.
