Chrystos Voskres! Christ is Risen!
During my eight years as a student at St. Andrew's College and the University of Manitoba, my most memorable years were when I was a member of O. Koshetz Choir. So many beautiful people were a part of those years and they left me with so many wonderful memories.
Dorothy was of those individuals. I fondly remember her beautiful voice, her friendly, warm personality and love for her Church and Ukrainian cultural heritage.
During this sacred and joyous Resurrection season of our Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, let the words of the Paschal (Easter) Tropar be a powerful comfort to Dorothy's family and friends. "Christ is Risen from the dead, trampling down death by death and to those in the tombs (graves) bestowing Life."
~ Fr. John & Dobrodijka Mary Anne Nakonachny, St. Vladimir Ukrainian Orthodox Cathedral, Parma, Ohio.

Sincerest condolences on the passing of your mother Dorothy. So sad to see the pillars of Koshetz choir leave one by one. They along with Dorothy have left a great legacy. After a life well lived, may she rest in peace forever. Teresa Kuzyk

Dorothy will surely be missed. I always had much admiration and respect for her quiet polite manner, her intelligence, her fine talent as a Koshetz Choir soprano ( I loved singing beside her), the wonderful relationship she enjoyed with her sister Genevieve's children (which I tried to emulate with my own nieces and nephews), her professional accomplishments (Alpha Omega Alumnae chose her as Ukrainian Woman of the Year), her dedication to the Koshetz Choir...one of a kind who made a difference in her community. I feel deeply honoured to have known her. May she have a peaceful well-earned repose with all the Saints. Vichnaya pamyat'.
