Obituary of ALFRED BILINSKI

ALFRED BILINSKI

May 2, 1943 – April 21, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that the family announces the passing of our beloved husband, father and grandfather on Monday April 21, 2025.

He will be missed by wife Christine; daughter Barb and granddaughters Larissa, Kennedy (Milan) and Kelsey (Saif) all of Winnipeg.

Opa was a wonderful, kind, mild mannered and gentle man.  With a patience he was light hearted and fun.  He had love for the open road, travel and loved to drive.  Local travel included weekend getaways to Grand Forks and here in Manitoba.  He loved music and was a local DJ, providing music for weddings, socials and banquets in his early years.  He was a collector and friend to all.  He was a huge Jets and Blue Bomber fan and sports in general.  As a youth, he loved his sports cars and played soccer for a Winnipeg league.

Alfred was predeceased by his parents Rudolf and Francziska Bilinski, as well as siblings Leo, Erna, Erika, Renate, Richard and spouses; son in law Wolfgang Wagner; in-laws Wanda Wojciechowski,  Walter Tomczyna and Eugene Wojciechowski.  Survived by his brother in-law Zbig, Henry, Stan (Millie) and Ted Wojciechowski.

The Family wishes to express their gratitude to the explementary care at St. Boniface Hospital Cardiac, ICU and Palliative Care.

Funeral to take place on Monday April 28, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Church 341 Selkirk Avenue with viewing a half hour prior to service.

Burial will take place at Holy Ghost Cemetery 4387 Main Street, West St. Paul with Oblate Father officiating.  Luncheon to follow at Cropo Funeral Chapel 1442 Main Street.

Donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
