Obituary of EILEEN STUCKLESS
After a long, courageous battle with life’s many challenges, Eileen passed away peacefully in Winnipeg, Manitoba on April 4, 2025, at the age of 76, surrounded by love.
Eileen is predeceased by her Parents; Andrew and Theresa, Brothers; Jim and Andy, Sisters; Margaret, Madeline, Sadie, and Theresa, Loved Ones Daylon and Billy, and Tasha's Grandma Myrtle.
Left to mourn includes her Daughter, Tasha (Gary), Father, Eugene Hologroski, Brothers; Joe, Tom, and Len, Sisters; MaryAnn and Stella, many nieces and nephews, and all of her friends; Sam, Tina, Marie, Beverly, Pat and all of her Windmill Restaurant family for over 40 years, including coworkers and customers that have come and gone.
There will never be anyone who could replicate her home-made, world famous potato soup, macaroni salad, and cookie cake.
Eileen may have been Newfoundland's most unknown famous celebrity as she rubbed shoulders with several famous celebrities with movies filming at the Windmill Restaurant. She not only became friends with celebrities but made sure they were well fed. Such celebrities that were lucky enough to taste Eileen's cooking, were Robin Williams, Richard Gere, Dennis Quaid, Woody Harrelson, Jeff Bridges, Seann William Scott, Brian Cannavale, Diane Keaton, Holly Hunter and Jennifer Lopez.
Eileen will be remembered as a loving, caring friend and co-worker who enjoyed socializing, especially at Applebee's where she would enjoy her favorite meal: A chicken oriental salad with a drink or two. You could also find her relaxing at home on Jefferson Avenue, with a glass of the finest Baby Duck wine. Speaking of, one of the memorable Baby Duck evenings, consisted of Eileen popping the cork, which ricochet off of the ceiling, leaving a dent on the ceiling and then became a game of hide and seek and trying to find the cork, which planted itself on top of the kitchen cabinets. She would always turn the radio up, to hear her favorite guy and gal, Rod Stewart and Tina Turner respectively, and especially when Norman Greenbaum's Spirit in the Sky was playing, as that song held a special spot in her heart.
For nearly 50 years, she regularly tuned in to watch her favorite show, The Young and the Restless, and enjoyed many laughs while watching Are You Being Served and Big Bang Theory.
Eileen worked her entire life serving those who became her friends and especially those that stood by her to the very end. She gave more than she ever took. She is now at peace and back home where she is reunited with her family, especially her mom and dad.
Eileen will be remembered by friends and family for her caring heart, protective spirit, and warm nature. She was an exceptional mother and her loss will be felt dearly.
We love you Eileen - our daughter, sister, aunt, friend and mom
