KEVIN ELLIOT LONNIE BUSCH

March 7, 1964 - March 12, 2025

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of an extraordinary man.

Kevin Busch grew up in the Interlake area of Ethelbert and Winnipeg. He earned a degree from The University of Winnipeg studying political science. After university he remained fascinated by history and shared this passion with his children. For him, knowledge was power. He went on to own a business, and later joined the family career as a truck driver. He knew the highways like the back of his hand.

An avid story teller, Kevin was often the life of the party and his stories are well known tales among the people who loved him. Always laughing, he made many friends and was popular not only in his community but in many other cities he travelled to in his years on the road. In later years, he enjoyed working on his house and spending as much time as possible with his loved ones. There was certain wisdom to him and often gave advice in unique one-liners that only he could think of. 

Kevin leaves to mourn his beloved dog Suzie; children Tanya and Timothy; brothers Keith (partner Sarah), Jeff, Darren, Justin; sister Leann; grandson Troy; nephew Joey; the Desmarais family with whom he was very close to, as well as countless friends from coast to coast . He was predeceased by his mother Marion Busch and Gilbert Busch respectively. 

It was his wish that loved ones do not dwell in grief but to carry on with positivity and strength…and to turn on some Merle Haggard on the hard days. 

He loved his old house, his old dog, his kids and his family. 

The family asks that in lieu of flowers for donations to be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
