She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Donna-Joy and son Keith( Rose); grandchildren Gina (Derek), Nicholas (Julia), Laura ( Justin), Nicola(Matt) and Victoria
(Mike); great grandchildren Leah, Ari, Jonathon, Alexis, Emma, Luca, Hugo and Lydia; son-in-law Mike Ruta(Sandy) and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Victor, daughter Karen Ruta, brother Ernie Lee and sister Pat Williams.
A lifelong member of the Salvation Army, mum spent many years as secretary for Winnipeg Citadel, and later worked in the public relations department for the Manitoba Division.
She was devoted to her family and was always ready to help out when needed. An excellent baker, her family and especially her grandchildren, remember her baking powder biscuits, jam tarts and apple dumplings.
Her life was a testament to strength, resilience and her faith in God and her Saviour Jesus Christ.
The family would like to give special thanks to the Holy Family Home staff for all their loving care and kindness shown to mum in the final months of her life.
As per her request, cremation has taken place and the family will remember and celebrate her life with a private gathering.
