Obituary of LORNE PUGH
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lorne Pugh, on Saturday, February 22, 2025, at the age of 89. Lorne was born on February 5, 1936, in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and was predeceased by his mother, father, brother Ross Pugh, and son Roy.
Lorne spent the summers near his uncle's farm, where he learned the values of hard work and dedication. He later joined the Winnipeg Fire Department, where he proudly served his community and eventually retired as a Captain on December 1, 1990.
After retirement, Lorne enjoyed many winters traveling to the United States, where he found peace and relaxation. He was especially fond of his two dogs, who brought him much joy and companionship over the years.
Lorne is survived by his son, Darrell (Tanya), and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
We would like to thank all of the staff at Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg for all the care they provided Lorne in the last years of his life.
A celebration of life service in his memory will take place at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street on Wednesday, March 5 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Winnipeg Humane Society, a cause close to his heart.
Lorne will be remembered for his dedication to service and his love for animals. Rest in peace, Lorne. You will be missed.
