Obituary of DIANA JOAN MOROZ
Diana Joan Moroz, passed away peacefully in her sleep at Holy Family Home on February 11th, 2025, just two weeks before her 87th birthday.
Born in Teulon, MB on February 25th, 1938, to Alexander and Barbara (nee Atamaniac), Diana lived in Fraserwood until she was 10 before moving to Gimli where she graduated as a top-notch student, and then moved to Winnipeg to fulfil her desire to further her studies where she became a teacher.
Diana worked for the majority of her career as a High School Business Education teacher and was an extremely dedicated and committed teacher and always felt teaching was a rewarding profession. Diana also had quite the travel bug, from early on with adventurous trips to Europe and Russia, and later on to a variety of interesting and historical places in Canada and the US, to the later years of short visits back out to her hometown of Gimli.
Diana thoroughly enjoyed time spent with family and friends. Playing King Pedro was always a favorite when getting together with family and Diana was always game for a bit of spirited competition be it cards or a trivia game.
Diana will be remembered for her strength and resiliency, smart wit and outstanding sense of humor. Her remarkable laugh will be forever missed. Diana left a lasting impression on all who knew her or those who she met.
Diana leaves to mourn her passing, her brother and sister-in-law Robert and Marjorie Moroz, nephew Trevor Moroz, niece Tracy Moroz and her family Chad, Jorie, Wylie and Beckham Garchinski, niece Joan Price of Calgary, AB, niece Jan Roth and family of Lethbridge, AB and nephew Barry Moroz and family of Winnipeg, MB. .
Special thanks to all the caring staff at Holy Family Home for their care and friendship over the past seven and a half years. She truly felt Holy Family was her home.
A private family memorial and interment will be scheduled for the springtime to take place in Fraserwood, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Holy Family Home.
