Obituary of FREDERICK "DAMIEN" JAMES STEWNER

Frederick Damien James Stewner, sadly and suddenly passed away with his loving family by his side, on Sunday, February 9, 2025 in Winnipeg, Manitoba. At the tragic age of only 25 years old, he has found his way by God’s grace to heaven.

Damien is survived by his caring and unwavering mother, Monika Czapla; devoted father Fred Stewner; loving brother, Devin Stewner, and the true love of his life, Tianna Philippot. Damien also leaves behind plenty of caring friends and family across the country.

Damien was born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba in his early life, and later, in the country, and on the country roads. The greatest joys of his parents, Monika and Fred’s life, were raising Damien. This joy and blessing was shared by his grandparents on both sides. Damien is a polarizing personality and the life of the party, lit up every room he walked in. Damien lived his life with his foot eternally on the gas, as he so enjoyed many things that brought him adrenaline, excitement and bliss. Damien’s hobbies and interests were found within the wild, an avid and extremely talented outdoorsman, including fishing, hunting, and all things considered technically skilled. He greatly enjoyed the path and career he chose to purvey in his life. Those who were closest to him all attest to his passion, ability, knowledge and compassion to those he cared for. Damien left an unmistakable mark on all who knew him.

We pray the Lord above has mercy on his kind soul and will live an eternal life with his beloved friends and family. He will be missed dearly by all. We pray the Lord has let him rejoiced in his bountiful kingdom.
