Obituary of Steve Diduck
STEVE DIDUCK
1931-2025
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Steve Diduck at the age of 93 on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Rest Haven Personal Care Home.
Steve was predeceased by his wife Florence (Castonguay), his son Neil and his brother Emil. He is survived by his daughter, Lynne (Randy), his brother Ernie and grandchildren: Michael (Stephanie), April, Jordan and Stefanie (Nory).
Steve grew up in Yorkton and Biggar, Saskatchewan. His job as a teenager, (delivering bread) led to the meeting of Florence, his wife of 55 years. They built a home in Saskatoon before moving with their children to Winnipeg. Steve began working for CN Rail at a young age and eventually became Supervisor of Accounts Receivable at the station in downtown Winnipeg.
Steve loved the outdoors. He was an avid gardener who always had plentiful amounts of seedlings growing in his basement. Steve also loved golfing. He would get up before the sun came up to be out on the course. His love for fishing took him on yearly trips to remote parts of Manitoba.
Steve also loved his family. He was very proud and supportive of his grandchildren’s activities and achievements.
Steve was a very kind and thoughtful man, who will be missed greatly.
A funeral service will take place on Thursday, February 13 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Vital Roman Catholic Church, 1629 Pembina Highway.
Donations can be made to Alzheimer’s Society of Manitoba
