Dear sisters and brothers, followers of Jesus,

Tomorrow, Saturday, 24 November, at 9:30 a.m., everyone is invited to come to the Cathedral and help the Altar Guild with the pre-Advent/Christmas clean-up and polish-up. And, naturally, men are invited too! This is a great learning opportunity, as well as being a serving opportunity within our Cathedral parish. Come and learn from those who have been doing it so well and so long, faithful servants like Leanne Landriault, the current Chair of the Altar Guild, serving with a smallish group of others. Please consider coming tomorrow morning and helping out as we prepare for the Holy-Days ahead, and prayerfully consider joining the Altar Guild so that this important work which needs to be done weekly can be shared by even more, and make the load lighter for all.

If you can’t come tomorrow morning, please do join us in the narthex for the Dean’s Forum on Sunday at 9 a.m. before our worship service, where the first topic of our servant series is, yes, you guessed it, the Altar Guild, as ministers preparing for the sacred mysteries, our worship and the sacraments within our worship. Even if you are coming tomorrow, please come again on Sunday to the Dean’s Forum, and share your experience and wisdom.

Remember, all who are currently involved in a given ministry within the parish, and all who are interested or curious about becoming involved, are invited to these sessions of the Dean’s Forum over the next four Sundays.

On Sunday, January 13th, at 9 a.m., there will be a repeat session on our commitment to the new provincial Accessibility Standards Act. Vestry members are particularly invited to this session, but all are invited to participate, as we seek together to become an ever-more-welcoming community of disciples.

Then, stay tuned for details of another six-week study beginning January 20th at the Dean’s Forum. Come and grow in your life of faith, and get to know your fellow pilgrims a little better also. I am grateful to God for your partnership in the Gospel.
